Kentmere Pan 400

Kentmere Pan 400 on 35mm film.

Walking is enough. Lines cut through the street, shadows stretch across walls, light appears and disappears before there is time to think. Kentmere Pan 400 belongs to that kind of photography: fast, instinctive, made while moving. Its sensitivity lets you follow the light wherever it goes, while the grain gives shape to what might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Exposure does not have to be perfect. A frame can arrive a little too dark, a little too bright, and still keep something worth finding. There is room to recover, to pull detail back from the shadows or hold onto the highlights. The mistakes become part of the walk. Grain, contrast and uncertainty do the rest.
